NCA publishes report on petrol and diesel prices
19 December 2008
The National Consumer Agency has published a report on its investigation into petrol and diesel price movements. The overall finding is that, at national level, price changes for refined petroleum products are being passed on to consumers in a relatively timely fashion.
The report also identified a range of gaps in the manner in which information on retail petrol and diesel prices are collected and publicised.
The research was conducted in response to the Tánaiste's request for a survey into why pump prices for petrol and diesel have not fallen in line with the drop in the wholesale price of oil.
